It all began in woodwork class. That’s where I first crossed paths with my business partner and friend Andrew Clark.

As 12-year-olds covered in sawdust at Avondale Intermediate.

 

I went on to win the school hard-tech prize and a building apprenticeship. Andrew, not to be outdone, qualified top New Zealand Quantity Surveyor at age 21. As young lads keen to get a foot on the property ladder, we pooled funds and built our first Titirangi house together in 1993.

 

A good house has a solid foundation and that goes for house builders too.

Over the past 30 years, I've completed hundreds of new house builds and villa renovations in Central and West Auckland.

As a Project Director and Registered Quantity Surveyor, Andrew managed large-scale construction projects including Lynmall, Sylvia Park, the MSocial Hotel and Sky Tower before investing in Warren Adolph Homes.

 

Together we have over 60 years expertise in residential and commercial construction. 

We run our joint business with a hand-picked and long-serving team of senior foreman and skilled carpenters. I focus on the client relationships and team management, while Andrew manages negotiations and sub-contractors to ensure projects run on time and to budget. We’re both across all the jobs. It’s a family-run business with my cousin Dianne the office manager and my son Ben a recently qualified builder. Another cousin is a foreman and my 2IC, Quintin has over 20 years experience at WAH. Both our wives are active contributors too.

 

We love what we do and it shows in the enduring quality of our homes and relationships. Clients in the building industry have entrusted their own homes to us given our strong reputation and standing amongst the best house builders Auckland-wide. Discerning architects have partnered with us on award-winning homes. We've built or renovated multiple homes for the same clients over the past 30 years.
